Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge reacts to the whole saga

Following the article by Press, Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge has just reacted for the first time. Several Internet users were waiting for him to speak to get his version of the facts. It is the cultural columnist of 98,5FM, Catherine Beauchamp, who shared the press release.

We can read in his official statement:

« Following an article that appeared today, it is important for me to set the record straight. To this day, I have never shared or taken a position in the media about my immunization status or that of anyone else. This is, moreover, personal and confidential information that should never have been found in the public arena.

It is my duty to respect all the measures required and issued by Public Health, and this since the start of the health crisis.

As of this day, I continue to learn about vaccines and their effects. My thinking on this subject is serious and it is fueled by the thirst for knowledge. I intended to be adequately protected by getting a vaccine that I felt comfortable with and initially expected to be available in September. The approval of this vaccine has been postponed but my intention to protect myself and others remains a priority.

My thought process is not unrelated to my decision-making process and my need to go at my own pace in all spheres of my life. This approach is personal and I will always respect those of others.

This situation has grown to disproportionate proportions and under the circumstances I will not comment further. »
