Since today you can buy natural wine at the SAQ

Natural wine is currently enjoying huge success in Quebec and the SAQ decided to embark on the adventure. Since this morning, you can order online only one bottle (or more) in their new section Natural wine. Each week, the SAQ has set itself the challenge of offering new natural wines throughout the year. A natural wine does not contain no chemical or synthetic ingredients, that's one of the reasons people go crazy for it. It is also the whole philosophy behind the creation of the product that charms wine lovers. As they are not handled much and that hardly anything is added to them, the taste is very varied from one product to another. This is the kind of wine that will surprise you and change common tastes. If you want to know more, we invite you to consult this charter which gives the process to produce natural wine in accordance with the rules. We can read there:

• 100% of the grapes intended for a wine that claims to be a “natural method wine” must come from committed and certified organic farming.
• The harvest is manual.
• Organic wines are vinified only with indigenous yeasts.
• No input is added.
• No action of voluntary modification of the constitution of the grape is authorized.
• No recourse to brutal and traumatic physical techniques is allowed.
• No sulfite is added before and during fermentation, nor in the starter.
