An unusual house-museum located five minutes from the village of Val-David offers an extraordinary visit

Located five minutes from the village of Val-David, this house-sculpture was born from the imagination of artist Robert Lachance. When visitors enter this mansion, they are taken on a promenade with links that are not functional but narrative. This house-museum has organic beams which meander above the living room, before bursting into metal fingers and then disappearing into the walls. Visitors have the impression that curves of wood and metal dance above their heads. Artist Robert Lachance has also perfectly integrated his massive sculptures near the walls / hanging on the labyrinth of wooden beams thus giving even more impact to the interior design of the house. This unusual residence sits on the highest mountain in Val-David, which rises to 480 meters above sea level to offer an exceptional panorama. Photo credit: v2com
